Yes, it is, however, recuva is a very low level program, looking at the hard
drive sectors themselves for lost files. It expects to see a FAT(16?)/32 or
NTFS filesystem, along with the hard drive device which it can scan at a low
level for lost files. Even if you fooled recuva into thinking your drive_c was
a physical hard drive, it's the wrong partition type. There's a possibility
that it may be possible to have recuva work on a usb drive for instance, or
some other device that IS FAT/NTFS formatted, but I don't know how easy that
would be to implement.
