Cloaking has been reanimated and this bug no longer applies the way it did.  

How ever the new cloaking effect does not work correctly either.  

Under windows the cloaking effect starts from the front of your ship and in a
wave makes it invisible, under wine there is a pause where the ship is fully
visible and then cloaked.  The wave animation is missing.
