I can confirm this bug on wine 1.0 rc1. (hardy, latest nvidia binary drivers)

I have seen a "workaround" for this bug on a webpages that tells me, that i
have to change the language to of the game to enlish. I did that, but the game
still loads in german, so i can't verify this workaround.

The developer comment mode works fine, i can walk around the levels etc, i
think it is a minor bug, but renders it impossible to play the game. Would be
nice if it could be fixed.
