Since bug seems to be related to offscreen render targets, I tried playing with
OffscreenRenderingMode settings. And it appears setting OffscreenRenderingMode
to fbo allows to avoid the crash. That's in versions around
d44c2956512117f8f03f77b38d35fb0503418962.
