exact dupe of #10086. 


There is a workaround posted there to get the game running, and it makes the
game start fine indeed:

I've reproduced this problem with the latest Wine from Git, and I found that
replacing SDL.dll with the latest version from
http://www.libsdl.org/download-1.2.php gets it past the error.

This may be the result of a bug in SDL that has been fixed, or it may be
coincidental.
