I have to agree with Vitaly, this patch is definitely not correct. Did you run
the winmm wave test to see if it still passes? I bet it does not, and the patch
thus won't be accepted. Instead you should ask the alsa developers what better
way there is to find out if a sample has been already played and use that. If
there isn't, then I'm afraid this bug will have to be closed. And then you will
have to hope for a native pulse driver.
