Running big gui apps, especially under Wine, is considered
bad practice. Especially email programs. Makes it a lot
easier to attack your system. It's difficult for those
of us who care about security to see past this glaringly
dangerous practice on your part to get to your question.
Normally, the folks who run Wine as root do it out of
ignorance, and we try to guide them to safer practices
before helping them with their problem.

Doing 'sudo wine ...' can screw up your ~/.wine directory
such that it can't be used as yourself anymore, because
it is contaminated with files owned by root. Recovering
requires a chown -R or removing .wine and letting wine recreate it.

If you want to keep running wine as root for no reason, go ahead, but
I can't bring myself to help you in that case, sorry.
