Er.  didn't mean to add that comment, just meant to add myself cc.  I can
reproduce the bug with Wine, and I've just tested that it works on Windows.

wine-1.1.7
wget http://www.qb64.net/qb64v081.zip
unzip -d qb64v081 .
cd qb64
wine compile samples/audio.bas

digging into it now...
