scratch that, it's not an alsa bug. it's a ladspa bug. :D

updating alsa turned off my ladspa plugins from .asoundrc (a change in default
plugin path) and that's why the static disappeared. after fixing .asoundrc it
came back (and also gave me back my lovely global eq). anyway, it's not a wine
issue. ;)
