Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried using both the native version of
comclt32 and a copy of comctl32 from an XP install (the machine is dual boot),
but neither have any effect.

I haven't filed a bug for the msxml3 problem yet (to be honest I didn't think
of it!) but will try to do that this weekend. I don't get what you mean by,
"Check for dupes first" though... duplicates?

So - still nowhere on the missing icons front...
