Nope, no such luck here - freezes totally. The popup dialog 'smears' all over
the window below if I drag it.
Bug 11952 is interesting; I observe nothing like that here. I'm running Ubuntu
Intrepid Ibex with the latest version of Notepad++. However, I've had the
fancy Compiz stuff switched off since Hardy. I found it gave me trouble with
screen updates in Notepad++ and even native editors. Do you have Compiz turned
on?
