Summary: Inconsistent initial highlighting/selection of text in
                    dialog boxes in IDA Pro
           Product: Wine
           Version: 1.1.9
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P2
         Component: -unknown
        AssignedTo: wine-bugs at winehq.org
        ReportedBy: markk at clara.co.uk

IDA Pro is an interactive disassembler. A freeware version can be downloaded
from http://www.hex-rays.com/idapro/idadownfreeware.htm

The initial highlighted state of text in dialog boxes differs between Wine and
Windows, reducing the usability of the program.

Download, install and run it. Open a Windows executable in IDA Pro. When the
analysis has finished, move the cursor over a label and press N to open the
"Rename address" window. In Windows the label name field appears highlighted,
so the current name is replaced when you type something. In Wine it is not, so
you need to delete the existing name manually.

This highlighting (or not) is inconsistent. Press ; to enter a comment on the
current line. Type anything and press Shift-Return, then press ; to edit the
comment you just entered. In the dialog box which appears, the current comment
text *does* appear highlighted, as it should. Note that the behaviour differs
between Wine and Windows here though. If you press cursor-left when the text is
highlighted, the cursor should move to the beginning of the text. In Wine it
does not, moving to the second-last character instead.
