The driver is a ATI Catalyst 8.10 Beta version, as X.org 7.4 is not officially
supported by ATI. Read

for more information. There is not other way to use Kubuntu 8.10 with ATI card
at the moment (8.11 still doesn't support X.org 7.4).

I I enable fbo I get a different output, but only a black screen (no crash to
desktop any more). Please see the attachment for the crashlog.
