The getplus download manager uses a windows service,
or seems to want to, anyway. Lines like this appear in the log:
0014:Call KERNEL32.SearchPathW(00000000,7cb13840 L"C:\\Program
Files\\NOS\\bin\\getPlus_HelperSvc.exe",00000000,00000105,7cb135a2,00000000)
ret=7e35ded1
0014:Ret KERNEL32.SearchPathW() retval=0000002e ret=7e35ded1
even though that file doesn't exist.
It also uses the snazzy new function QueueUserWorkItem that Dan H. implemented,
and it uses ws2_32.
You can watch it doing nonblocking connects to lots of
Adobe hosts in the log. The log is quite large, so
probably anybody interested should reproduce this with
firefox http://adobe.com/reader
