There was a similar report at
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/wine/132658-pokerstars-wine.html
and I can confirm the problemmm on my own ubuntu 8.04.1 system
(although the first time I tried, it ran for five seconds
before losing sound; the second time sound went away
after a single action, about one second.)
