Don't know if this is related but I had some trouble starting Lego Star Wars as
well. It showed the first start screen and the "a long time..." and then
crashed.

Turns out the same happens on windows too for some users because somehow the
config file SWLEGO.BIN gets corrupted. Deleting this file before the startup
helps. No idea when the real bug behind this is :)
