Can you try with a clean WINEPREFIX? I mean, reinstall Photoshop CS2 with a new
wine directory, i.e. something like this:

WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-new wine Photoshop_CS2_installer.exe

Then launch PS CS2 from within the new directory.
