Sorry, got the attachment thing wrong (newbie here).
Here's what I meant to write:

I think I am experiencing the same problem with GP5.
I'm on Kubuntu Hardy, now wine-1.1.7

When I start GP5 it freezes and does not redraw itself.
When I launch it from the command line, and hit Ctrl+C in the console window,
it displays a message box saying "Frappe de Contrôl+C". Usually, that box
works and I can click it and a few other ones ("Violation d'access ..."
(twice), "Control 'MediaPlayer1' has no parent window.") that follow it away.
After that, the app works normally.

When I quit the app, it again reports an access violation, and the wine
debugger kicks in.
