As of wine-1.1.4 the two windows still show up separately but the chat window
is now kept on top of the game window as expected. It is still not anchored but
is "always" visible.

The toolbar problem reported in comment #2 is no longer present. Both windows
now show up in the toolbar, "Apprentice" and "fmChat".

As for Gnome testing, I haven't got access to a gnome desktop yet, I will work
into that. Same for Kde.
About other apps, I don't know any. But Apprentice can be freely downloaded. (I
think I missed the point of the downloadable part.)
