ok, I've been able to install iSeries Navigator successfully with Wine-1.1.4

wget http://kegel.com/winetricks
sh vcrun6
cd CAv5r4/Install/Image
wine SETUP.EXE

Go through the motions of the install....

cd wine-iseries/drive_c/Program\ Files/IBM/Client\ Access/
wine cwbunnav.exe

The Navigator loads, asking me to setup a profile.
