I've found the problem.
In old versions, with the .wine folder from new versions, the bug is still
there. But if I have an old version, and remove the .wine folder, so it creates
it itself, proteus works. The problem: winelook should be "win31". In older
version this can be set in the ~/.wine/config file. But in new versions
everything is in the registry.

My question: how to set winelook=win31 in wine 1.1.5?
