Bug invalid. I had the same problem as the reporter had. The bug is caused by
the game looking for a resolution of 320x240 (do not laugh !! :D :D ) 

Once I had added this resolution in my xorg.conf, everything was fine.

Moreover, the reporter looks dead ;)

I think that one can close this bug.
