Have you checked that on windows? It might be installed somewhere else.

That more indicates the problem with install.

Please start with clean wineprefix (remove it, run winecfg to create it).
Install dotnet20 and dotnet11 using winetricks. Run Inventor install
redirecting all output into file. After installer finishes, attach this file
here.
