Copied gm.dls from a WinXP partition and the error is gone.

trace:dmloader:IDirectMusicLoaderFileStream_Attach (0x2b914d8,

trace:dmloader:IDirectMusicLoaderFileStream_Detach (0x2b914d8)

But this doesn't help.  So I guess it's nothing to do with gm.dls.
Back to the drawing board.
