Hello,

I don't see any startup nor anti-debugger (obfuscation) issue here.

Tested with following  downloadable versions:

Beta test version 17 -- Released 18/3/2009: LaTeXPiX (build 3526)
stable release -- Released 28/10/2008: LaTeXPiX (build 3248)

This bug should be closed.
