Actually the primary issue is that VGA color planes aren't yet supported. Once
a fix is done for VGA memory planes, this will be literally a 2 line fix.
Unfortunately getting to that point requires a significant redesign.

Please also let me know what the terminal says the VGA mode number is set to.
This will help me prioritize patches.
