Thanks, unfortunately I do not see anything about this menu in the trace. Most
of it is the shutdown of the program. I was looking at all the "menu:" trace
lines and searched for some of the strings in the popup menu ("Paragraph",
"Insert Field") 

In such circumstances I normally try to make this part as short as possible: 1)
do your thing; 2) ALT-Tab back to the terminal 3) type Ctrl-C. (if that does
not work I use Ctrl-Z and kill -9 %1).

For the moment just get me the +menu,+tid trace.
