Was affected by this bug also when installing Command & Conquer: Zero Hour. The
installation fails the first time because it cannot switch cd's. The second
time it will fail with this error:
err:msi:msi_cabextract FDICopy failed
err:msi:ACTION_InstallFiles Failed to extract cabinet: L"Data1.cab"
err:msi:ITERATE_Actions Execution halted, action L"InstallFinalize" returned
1627
To fix it, remove the destination files first before starting the installation,
or do it properly the first time. This bug should be fixed, i don't see a
reason why it wouldn't want to overwrite a "read-only" file that has
write-privileges. What sets it read only anyway thats a DOS-attribute?
