What's the status of this with latest git, or with 1.1.27 (to be released
tomorrow)?

I vote to close this bug as invalid:
The bug only occurs if you build wine without schannel support.

If wished, a new bug can be opened that configure should fail if "gntutls-dev
2.3" is not present. This shouldn't be much work, as configure even recognize 
"--without-gnutls" as valid argument.

There are separate bugs for the missing AcceptEx implementation (bug 9787) and
for the "crash after one minute" (bug 18997), so I'm agreeing and marking this
invalid.  I would mark it fixed, but since it depends on an uncommitted patch,
I don't think that's quite right either.

Lukáš Krejza:
your wine opensuse build (wine-1.1.25-hacks from home:gryffus) does not fix
this problem.

wine 1.1.27 (pure opensuse build without any patches, from Emulators:wine repo)
also has this bug. WC3 crashes with message "memnory could not be write" right
after i click "connect" button in battlenet connect dialog.
