Well, i don't think that's useful anymore. In current git the crash is gone and
the app starts, though it takes quite a long time to start, and there's a
suspicious line in the console:
err:imagelist:IMAGELIST_InternalExpandBitmaps creating new image bitmap
(x=17408 y=16)!

However, the app doesn't crash anymore, and the long start time is yet another
issue so I consider this bug as fixed for now
