Checked this with gvim72.exe on Wine 1.2.28.

I can confirm the "[No Name] - GVIM" in the window title.
I can confirm the grey area instead of the welcome text. When pressing ENTER -
as suggested by the text in the bottom field - the input field goes to "white
backround with text on it".

What is the behaviour of GVIM on Microsoft's implementation of Windows?
