Actually, you got that the other way around:

original:
~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Rise of Nations/rise2.ini
gold:
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/{user}/Application Data/Microsoft Games/Rise
of Nations/rise2.ini

which makes sense since MS probably told BHG to change it later on, to work
according to some "new" policies for file storage. You have no idea how silly
requirements some publishers make... :-)
