That sounds about right.

Here's a debug dump from the demo version, which behaves like the real version
[0] in non-debug-mode (except for the part about the CD spinning up, of
course).  The file size is 2.2 MB.

[0] That is, the program starts, the X resolution changes, and the program
crashes.
