I have this troubles too. 
openSuse 11.2 x64
I tried install Photoshop CS2 in 1.1.33, and got error like described above.
Downgraded wine to 1.1.28 with the same result.
It's strange because on another desktop openSuse 11.1 i586 (wine-1.1.31) all
work fine.
