Guys I have good news :-)

I managed to start gta 4 as you can see on the following screenshots:

detailed howto:

you have to patch your wine source with this patch:
http://mgmt.sth.sze.hu/~andras/wine/gta4/add_intz_to_ds_formats.patch

1, Install .net fw 3.0 (with winetricks)
2, Install gta 4
3, copy nocd crack (razor 1911) to game directory (copy protection wont work)
4, download & install patch 1.0.0.4
5, downoad xliveless from
http://public.sannybuilder.com/GTA4/xliveless-0.99b1.rar
and copy xlive.dll to game's directory (RSGC and Xlive won't work).
6, start the game with LaunchGTAIV.exe
7, Have fun :)


It has been tested with:
Ubuntu 9.10 x86
Core 2 duo E6400
NVidia GF GTX260 (driver: 3.2.0 NVIDIA 190.42)
