I have posted a new version of the winepulse patch on my blog at
http://art.ified.ca/?page_id=40 . I would not suggest using the fedora RPMs. No
one from red-hat has been in contact with me and I have no idea how old those
patches are (methinks they are ancient.) That said, if someone from red-hat
wishes to contact me I'll be more than happy to talk :) . I'm not sure how old
the patches to the wine-hacks git repository are as well. As for building debs
for debian I'm not sure I know how to do that. Personally I run gentoo and have
little (but some) experience with Debian / Ubuntu. I develop with the git
versions of both the pulseaudio and wine. Best of luck. For people who
experience problems with directsound I suggest testing with "hardware
acceleration" set to both "emulation" and "full" in winecfg.
