[Bug 13993] MathCAD 2001: crashes while installing

I was able to get past the previously reported install shield error by using
sudo -i  to become super user during install.

I get a little farther into the script now.  After I enter my name and serial
number, I now get a dialog that says "This Product is only for sale in the
United States and Canada.  Please contact your software distributor"

Note that I am trying to install from an original MathCad 2001i installation
disk and I have the original packaging with the Serial Number printed on it. 
So the Serial Number should be valid.

This sounds like some kind of license manager problem, or perhaps I haven't set
my country to United States?
