This is still an issue with wine 1.1.11. The console output is:

fixme:ntoskrnl:KeInitializeTimerEx 0x114118 0
fixme:mixer:ALSA_MixerInit No master control found on USB Device 0x46d:0x8b2,
disabling mixer
fixme:x11drv:sync_window_opacity LWA_COLORKEY not supported
fixme:heap:HeapSetInformation 0x110000 0 0xc3eac0 4

Gothic 3 running with community patch 1.6.
