Another thought concerning Prince of Persia SoT. Basically I think we're seeing
multiple bugs here (graphics going completely haywire sometimes is probably
unrelated to the problem with the Prince extending into infinity). The "Prince
to infinity" thing (see comment #12) looks like the prince's trousers are the
problem here (they are supposed to be buffeting in the wind). Perhaps something
odd happens when passing/storing shader parameters? Comment #8 seems to
indicate a similar problem.

Any pointers to smaller D3D demo programs worth testing in this regard?
