I suspect that all the bugs that show up with CreateDCW(DIRDIB) (eg bug 6200,
bug 15392) are related, dirdib.drv is part of the redistributable for
Macromedia Director, according to
http://www.adobe.com/support/authorware/basics/files_distribute/files_distribute_05.html
which explains why there's quite a few programs around suffering the same
identical failure.
