Scheduling, priotities, drivers', kernel CPU usage, etc. are all different.
Also what's the point of having 4 core CPU if programs don't use it?

You haven't said anything about this before. Yes, open a separate bug for this.
Of course make sure you are not using pulseaudio or any other sound server.
