i don't see how this could be a problem with the desktop environment... and
even if it is, could may i request that you work with xfce upstream developers
to get them to fix the problem, rather than taking the easy road and ignoring
the issue?

note that i've tried half-life 2 and counter-strike, and their fullscreens work
just fine under xfce with wine 1.1.26.  i understand that this isn't a
significant enough sample to "prove" this point, but it does provide evidence
that wine has the problem and not the desktop environment.
