This bug seems to be invalid. With 1.1.26:

Interface {00000514-0000-0010-8000-00aa006d2ea4} seems to correspond to
ADODB.connection. Use the winetricks script (http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks)
to install the Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8 with verb mdac28. The
necessity for the virtual desktop when installing is an unrelated issue that
pertains to installer windows seemingly appearing behind the installer
background, which might be covered in another bug.
