Thanks, Frédéric. The application is CPLEX, 

http://www.ilog.com/products/cplex/

which is a commercial software, and therefore you cannot download from the
Internet. 

I believe that the problem that I am reporting also occurs with other console
programs. Unfortunately, I am not remembering any other DOS console program at
the moment, but I may get an idea meanwhile. If so, I will come here to tell
you about it.
