Many applications take for granted the availability of fonts like Arial, Times
New Roman etc. Recently, on a fresh installation, I found myself unable to use
all my regular Windows applications on Wine becaause of unreadable text, and
the issue was solved by installing the ttf-mscorefonts package.

Please make sure applications will use equivalent fonts (eg Vera, DejàVu,
Liberation) when they look for absent "core" fonts. Thanks!
