Well, I've been so swamped by other work that I hadn't gotten beyond the first
split in the regression test process.  As luck would have it, 1.1.23 has fixed
the problem.  I built it from source, ran Quicken, and lo, success was had. 
Apparently whatever crept into 1.1.22 has crept back out.  It was certainly
repeatable going back & forth betwee .21 and .22.

So, looks like this can be closed as fixed.
