The political issues aside, Wine (and its commercial counterparts) are
available in the US, used in the US and stored on US servers. While fighting
the DMCA is probably a noble goal, Wine is not The Pirate Bay or some other
similar website that wants to make political statements with questionable
means, Wine is software that also aims at businesses. So any questionable legal
things will make Wine unusable for businesses, so we can't do that.
