I tested with 1.1.24 and the shadow was rendered correctly (under instead of
over) and I could read the text of the popup.

I tested with this command line:

wine winhlp32 VMLAB.HLP

Fixed?

note: The popup does not stay like it does on Windows XP.  If you click the
link it will only be visible while the mouse button is down and will disappear
on mouse up.  The desired behavior (or at least XP's behavior) is that the
popup stays until either it is clicked or it loses focus.  Separate bug I would
assume.
