Updates on this
Installed wine 1.1.24 x86_64.
Removed .wine directory
Reinstalled the game (installation went perfectly)
Now ran the game using the command
$ wine start 'C:\Program Files\Age of Wonders Shadow Magic\AoWSM.exe'
Launching the game failed (producing the exact same error log as the one
attached with this bug originally)
Hence reopening.
