I am not experiencing the bugs.

I created installed it in a new wineprefix, created a new page, and typed the
text "This is a blank page."

I saw the text, and I was also able to make the text bold or italics using the
toolbar buttons.

Could you retest.
You can also specify any other text oddities that you notice.
